At Church this Sunday
This Sunday we’re looking at Mark 6 – a chapter that includes Jesus’ miraculous feeding of the 5000. Why did he do it? What did it signify? Come along to find out!
We’ll also be hearing from both Winstonites groups about what they have been up to this term.
Plus Doug, our friendly parish warden, will be giving us an update on the building program and parish finances.
Santiches Photo
Here’s a super low resolution version of the photo that I posted to the Santiches this week, to encourage them in their ministry in New Zealand.
So a big thank you to the kids for helping out with this one.
(Note – I made this one blurry due to privacy concerns and so on, but the one I sent them was a high resolution version).
Ride for Refugees – this Saturday
The ‘Ride for Refugees’ is on this Saturday. As usual, there’ll be a number of us riding this year, but if you’re not keen on that, you might consider sponsoring a rider. You can do it at the website.
Confirmation and Baptism Night
AIM
Also coming up is another AIM night. It’s for anyone interested in full-time paid ministry, and the topic is ‘Why full-time ministry is for everyone’. Talk to Mike for more details.
Youth and Kids Leaders’ Training – this Saturday
We’ve also got a training day for those involved in teaching Youth and Kids on the 27th August. If you’ve involved in this ministry, you should consider coming along.
Weekend Reading
Bible study for mums with young kids.
Plus an article from the SMH suggested by one of our number.
