At Church this Sunday

This Sunday we’re looking at Mark 4:35-5:43, with David Pocknall speaking to us from that passage. It’ll be a great Sunday, and of course, everyone is welcome!

The ‘Ride for Refugees’ is on again this year. You can ride, pay others to ride, or come along to help on the day. Come and talk to me on Sunday for more information, or check out the website.

Northmead Preschool Service

At the 9am Northmead service this Sunday is the annual preschool service. It’s a great opportunity for families at St Luke’s preschool to come along and hear about Jesus, and so please be praying for this event.

Also coming up is another AIM night. It’s for anyone interested in full-time paid ministry, and the topic is ‘Why full-time ministry is for everyone’. Talk to Mike for more details.

Youth and Kids Leaders’ Training

We’ve also got a training day for those involved in teaching Youth and Kids on the 27th August. If you’ve involved in this ministry, you should consider coming along.

Weekend Reading

An unusual article this week – a well-known Australian Christian talking us through what he’s reading at the moment.

Here’s another couple that one of our number sent through this week: When God messes with your plans, and God wrote every chapter in your story.
