I am new here – Mission & Vision
1) OUR MISSION AT THE NAC CHURCHES
Our mission is to make disciples of all nations, in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20)
2) OUR VISION
Our vision is to have 1005 individuals actively involved in the life of the NAC Churches in 2010 – 1005 in 2010
Our vision includes every individual from cradle to seniors.
Our strategy to achieve our vision relies upon our Parish’s values.
These values are most clearly seen in the NAC Statement, Living in Love. God has used our congregations to know him and love him. He has used our small groups to help our members know and love each other. He has used our relationships with our neighbours to love them and bring them into the fellowship of his disciples.
3) OUR STRATEGY
Jesus said: Love God and Love your Neighbour
Living in Church: Knowing God to love God
- Faithful and effective Bible teaching
- Robust prayerfulness
- Culture of genuine care
- Genuine joyfulness
Living in small group: Knowing each other to love each other
- Meet regularly with accountability
- Focus on Bible study and application to life
- Prayerfulness
- Start small and aim to grow and divide
Living in the world: Knowing our neighbours to love our neighbours
- Planting new local congregations
- Being at the ‘BBQ’
- Budget reflects this strategy
4) OUR PART IN THE MISSION OF OUR DIOCESE
The initial goal of the Diocesan Mission is to see at least 10% of the population of the region of the Diocese in Bible based churches in 10 years.
The mission prayer:
Our gracious God, we pray that you will help us proclaim our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that everyone around us will hear his call to repent, trust and serve Christ in love, and be established in the fellowship of his disciples while we await his return. May we continue to pray, to depend on your Holy Spirit, and to glorify you. Amen
Pray specifically for:
- Spiritual Renewal
- Multiplying of fellowships
- Training of pastors
- Reform of the Diocese and Churches
