A Ministry of Aid for the Gospel – Tanzania

Pray for MAG:

Thank God for the new Sewing and Bible school in Bunda in North Tanzania. Ask God to stir in people’s hearts great generosity in giving so this ministry will continue. Praise God for Helen Hoskins who oversees this new school. Pray for enough volunteers to help with packing goods into boxes at the Kingsgrove depot and for a safe journey for the container travelling to Bunda some time in November.

Thank God for spread of His word in Tanzania. Thank Him for the time Barb and George could be there upholding his word.

The latest container was packed on Thursday 19th August for Tanzania. Thank God for the depot volunteers and their patience with us as we delivered goods when they were very busy. Pray that enough goods will be donated for the next container going in November, and for many young volunteers to do the lifting. Thank God for the wheelchairs donated for the hospital in Mt Kiliminjaro. Please pray that the containers arrive at just the right time to assist Tanzanians.

Praise God for continued support of Mission Aid for Tanzania. Thank God for faithful volunteers at the Kingsgrove depot.

What is MAG?

Mission Aid Group (MAG) supports the work of CMS missionaries by supplying goods that are expensive or hard to get. These goods are for the use of Tanzanians in hospitals, schools and training centres.

MAG is a practical way for YOU to share what God has given you, by buying simple, everyday necessities, making things or giving money to help with freight costs. The MAG group at NAC makes up items of clothing for women, children and babies, hospital quilts, pastor carry bags, Bible bags, hospitality bags, knitted items, hem wool fabric for blankets, soft toys for babies and more. MAG is a way for you to share what God has given you, by buying simple, everyday necessities, making things or giving money to help with freight costs.

If money is tight for you at the moment, imagine how the financial crisis is impacting gospel ministry in third world countries.

If you are interested in MAG, please come along to one of the MAG workshops and collection days held at NAC (tea and coffee provided).

Extract from Helen Hoskins’ prayer letter. She is a CMS missionary in Bunda, Tanzania.

“The girls in the sewing centre are making great progress, learning to sew clothing and items to sell. But this means that our supplies of materials, cottons, zips etc. are running low.

We are thankful for gifts we have received that allow us to buy materials locally and also to MAG for the many items they have sent in the containers.”

The next container will be packed in November and if you would like to help re-equip the sewing centre and hostel you can do so by purchasing or making any of the items listed below.
