It’s very important to do this thinking about how we welcome and incorporate visitors. Something we have been doing at 5pm on occasion is breaking up into small groups for prayer. I wonder how threatening this would be for a visitor – feeling put on the spot. Perhaps we should leave this type of prayer for our home small groups, or at least indicate to visitors that they do not need to participate. Our services need to meet the needs of our members but we also need to think through each aspect from a visitor’s point of view so that they feel comfortable and want to return.

Hi all – Im thinking I’ll probably scrap the pencil holder idea….doesnt look as elegant as planned. So you can cancel bringing in the toilet/paper towel rolls!!
Any other idea’s are welcome & of course Fathers Day CARDS always sell well, so even if you want to try your hand at that?!?

Hi Mike welcome back! It would be great to pray on Sunday for the famine in Ehtiopia and Somalia – made it to the ABC news first 10 mins last night – heard Tim Costello speaking on 103.2 saying this is as bad as the 1984 famine (i was in year 10 then) and it needs to be on the front page of the telegraph. Somalia has no government so getting aid in is risky. thanks, Elissa.
